How does it work?
A brief explanation of how to register
Step 1
You select the desired refresher course.
Step 2
You select whether you want to register only yourself ('Follow individual') or several employees ('Register team').
Step 3
Enter your details and the VGT discount code. Complete the order.
Step 4
When you order for yourself, you can start the refresher training immediately. When you order via 'Team sign-up', you can sign up your employees via a downloadable document.
After purchase, the continuing education content is available online for one year.
The in-service training does not include CBCT. However, the dentist who produces CBCT images can use the 4 hours of continuing education for the -in total 8- hours of continuing education that must be achieved.

TMS Tandheelkunde basic
This continuing education TMS Dentistry Basic is intended for dentists or healthcare professionals with the radiation diploma TMS dentistry basic (formerly 5 A/M). You will receive the certificate upon completion, and in case of KRT registration, the points will also be processed automatically. You do not have to complete the continuing education in one go; you can continue your continuing education at any time via 'My account'.

Online retraining
Dental assistants and dental hygienists
Many oral care practice assistants and dental hygienists have undergone training to take radiographs on assignment. According to professional guidelines, this knowledge must be refreshed every five years. With this online retraining you fulfil this requirement. You will receive the certificate upon completion.
Has the assistant or dental hygienist not yet completed basic training?
The KNMT guideline Dental Radiology states that staff who take X-rays must have basic training in X-ray recording technique and radiation protection. Such a course consists of both a theoretical- as a practicecomponent. Our basic course fully meets these requirements. The certificate consists of a theoretical part that can be followed online, the practical part you carry out in your own working environment and have the TMS sign off on it.
This course is suitable for you if you:
✔ Currently working as a dental assistant or dental hygienist and have not yet completed a basic course
✔ Want to know more about working safely with X-rays
✔ Need an official and legally valid certificate
Both beginners and assistants with experience can participate. This course is not part of the VGT's 'Portal Radiation Protection PLUS' subscription.

AVS-Radiant founders Linda Krikke and Anja Breukelman are respectively registered General coordinating expert (level ACD) and Coordinating Expert (level CD) and both run their own consulting firm.
Training
